Solid Rock - Team Members

The value of a Team is greater than the sum of it's parts. This is true regardless of whether your talking about a football team working hard to win a championship, or the Solid Rock Team working hard for the Champion of our Faith, Jesus Christ. Both teams need players who will give of themselves in order to accomplish far more than they ever could have alone.

Solid Rock Worship Center is strong, in part, to the great Team of people who faithfully give of themselves for the cause of Christ. The takers of this challenge come from all walks of life:

From construction workers to school teachers
From those good with computers, to those good with power tools
From singles to those who've been married over 50 years
From young adults to seniors

Many have risen up and decided to be a part of something great. And what's that? The Great Commission that God has both called us to & challenged us to fulfill:

"Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

What are the requirements to be a Team Member?

You must be a Christian
You must have been baptized in water
You must be at least 18 years of age
You have regularly attended SRWC for a period of 3 months
You support the ministry of SRWC financially
You consider Solid Rock Worship Center to be your home church

What are the requirements to be a Team Member?

You are a Christian
You have been baptized in water
You are at least 18 years of age
You have regularly attended SRWC for a period of 3 months
You support the ministry of SRWC financially
You consider Solid Rock Worship Center to be your home church
You consider the Pastor of SRWC to be your pastor.

What is the Team Member committing to?
There are 4 areas of commitment. Together, they create an acronym with the word "F.A.S.T."

A Solid Rock Team Member commits to being...

Faithful

definition: true to one's word, promises, vows, etc.; steady in allegiance or affection; loyal; constant; reliable, trustworthy

with their Feet (attendance).

"And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near." - Hebrews 10:25 (NLT)

with their Finances (financially support the church - tithing)

"On the first day of each week, you should each put aside a portion of the money you have earned…" - 1 Corinthians 16:2 (NLT)

"A tithe (tenth) of everything....belongs to the LORD; it is holy to the LORD." - Leviticus 27:30 (NIV)

to the Family (to the church & pastor) - loyal

"So then, let us aim for harmony in the church and try to build each other up." - Romans 14:19 (NLT)

I want to be a Team Member! Now what?

sign the "Team Member Covenant" You can pick one up at church or download it.
Turn in the "Team Member Covenant" to the Pastor or a member of the Steering committee.
Pending approval by the Pastor & the Steering Committee, the new Team Members will be introduced to the congregation.
